Born on April 13, 2020

Knowing that a shutdown over a virus had gone on too long, a wife, mother, and small business owner was watching on her local news channel a protest in Michigan. Her friend told her that it was organized by a Facebook group, Michiganders Against Excessive Quarantine. She was inspired and so a Facebook group called Delawareans Against Excessive Quarantine was born.

Exploding to over 9K members in 2 months, it was quickly realized that this is a MOVEMENT. It’s really very simple. You quarantine the sick, not the healthy. On June 1st, after some of the restrictions were lifted, the group was renamed Stand Up Delaware. The goals: To work to get our State fully reopened and fight to get legislation passed so that this kind of overreach by our State Governor never happens again.

Our Facebook group is a support group for Delawareans who support the U.S. Constitution and its fundamental principal that the power of government is derived from the consent of the people. We wish to support the truth that we have unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and these rights are not granted by government but given by God.


Our mission is to support common sense solutions that we can overcome this national crisis without putting Delawareans out-of-work and at-risk for catastrophic societal and economic impacts.


To see the State of Delaware fully reopen and to fight for legislation so that we stop this overreach by our Governor so that it never happens again.

We will seek out and support candidates who see as we do, that this shutdown did much more harm than good. Candidates who agree with Ronald Reagans when he said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”
